“The vacation we often need is freedom from our own mind.” - Jack Adam Weber
Happy Sunday!
As I promised last week, this newsletter will be short and sweet. There wasn't much time for writing (or anything else) this week as we prepared for vacation. Preparing for a trip always stresses me out, but if everything goes well, I should be at my destination by the time you receive this email.
Enjoy the links below, and for those who celebrate, have a Happy Fourth!
Vanilla the chimp
You have to check out this article about a chimp who, for the first time in her 28-year life, got to see the sky and feel what it was like to exist outside of a cage.
In the video, you can see her being encouraged to come out of her cage by another chimp. When she finally emerges and looks to the sky, the look on her face is priceless.
I know how I feel after sitting in an office all week. I can only imagine what it must be like for these incredibly intelligent and curious creatures to spend their entire life in a cage and how amazing it must have felt for her to finally be able to wander an open field on her own.
Prince Ea
This is an old video by Prince Ea that I recently rediscovered.
Nothing I can say will add anything of meaning, so do yourself a favor and take five and a half minutes to watch it.
Photo(s) of the Week
I captured this little guy fishing a few nights ago. And while I didn't get the shot of him catching his dinner, I do like the photo, especially the reflection in the water.
I hope you all have a great week!

Loved the heron pic Randy!
Even though short, this quote was worth the whole issue "“The vacation we often need is freedom from our own mind.” - Jack Adam Weber" - not to mention your closing photo which looks like a dang Monet painting. That workshop with Steven Foster paid off for you!!
