"I could hear them laughing, and I’d be lying if I said at that moment, I wasn’t thinking about crawling back to the beginning of the tube and dragging their little asses in there with me."

Wishing I had read this sooner--a much needed laugh.

Ha ha, loved this story Randy! So well told. I boy can I relate. For me it just felt like my organs stopped staying in place, and going on those rides the way I used to when the kids were little just got progressively harder, because it felt like my entire intestinal tract re-routed itself in my torso. I happened to also take a several week break from reading and commenting on my favorite people, so you did me a favor. Going into super busy season for conference speaking, so will keep up the best I can, but always enjoy your posts.

Welcome back! And wow that sounds like a *fair* bit of trouble at the fair. Though I'm glad you made it out of that monkey maze. Great photo by the way, your daughter looks absolutely ecstatic!

I am glad you are back. Glad enough that I waited until Substack sent me the login email I needed to log in to comment. I couldn't just comment. I had to spend several seconds following the Substack commenting ritual to comment. But it was totally worth it. Now I can finally say, "It's great to have you back!" And thank you for sharing the awesome pic.
