Randy, your articles are so easy to read, I loved particularly the one on your daughter going to KG, so many big themes embedded in it. Thanks you for persisting, inspiring

Congrats on 50, Randy!! You've been doing such an amazing job pushing through all your resistance with this online writing journey and getting out of your comfort zone in such a beautiful way with how you've shared personal stuff even when I know that feels weird. I am right there with you!

I'm excited to see you keep going no matter what direction you take Chasing Answers. You have such a specific writing voice, that along with your thoughtfulness, compassion, and humor sold me immediately.

I can’t believe it’s been 50 editions of Chasing Answers. Speaking of, have you found them? 😂 Proud of you Randy. I bet at the start you never knew you’d be at it for so long. Yet here you are. Cheers to 50 more!

The big 5-0! A wonderful achievement. I'm here to celebrate you. And echo everything already said. You do not shy from big topics. But you engage with them respectfully.

And thank you for including me on your list. It is always such a pleasure to read your work. Your artwork was endearing. I was jealous of the name you picked for your newsletter. But the peanut butter climate essay - did you ever publish it? I think that is when I first fell in love with the way you throw words on paper.

Thank you so much for the kind words and mention Randy. I love it the most when you're speaking from the unfiltered passion of your unique perspective, and whenever you're thinking that maybe you've made a mistake in showing your true colors I'm going to be there in your corner cheering the authenticity you represent. I'm equally grateful for all the great writers and thoughtful human beings that are make up our writing tribe.

Thank you so much Randy.

I’m honored and touched to be part of this amazing list of people. And I love how thorough and thoughtful you put this together. Congrats on the 5-0 man! It’s inspiring to see how you consistently continue onward. And find ways to express the real you every single time. I’m a few editions behind, but I’m counting on you to keep leading the path.

To quickly counter the sentiment, I really dig how you put yourself on the page every time. There’s no hiding, even if it’s painful or difficult. Your voice comes through in every piece (it seems like you can’t help it) and it’s one of the most authentic newsletters that I read. I think this sentence sums it up: ‘although I don’t use a pseudonym, I want to write as though I do’. I believe you’re doing it.

CONGRATS ON 50 ISSUES!!! 🥳🥳🥳

That’s absolutely wild. I’m so happy I had the opportunity to follow the second half of your journey. It’s funny to hear here and in Charlie’s podcast that you really started writing without much goal in mind. It explains why it does feel like you write from the heart, not like all emotional but as if you are openly sharing how your feeling about something. One of your essays that stick out to me is the one about Buttercup. I was so moved by your experience and it’s because you wrote about the challenges of breaking the news to your daughter. Obviously, not a happy memory but I felt so much empathy because you made it easy to step into your shoes.

Thank you for sharing my newsletter! I am a fan of literally everyone on your list, so it’s an honor to be included. So happy we were able to get to know each other through Write of Passage!

Also, I had a very meta experience reading about how you said I’m always the first to comment and being acutely aware that I was reading your essay literally just after you published it 😂
